We had booked a cruise through Carnival Cruises 1 1/2 years in advance. They offered AON travel insurance which we decided to purchase.

Were never told of any conditions or clauses. Found ourselves in a situation where we had to cancel due to new employment related issues, and were told that we had to first cancel the trip, then apply for something we'd already purchased. AON representative assured us that we would not have any issues as we had a valid reason. Once we'd applied, we had to follow up after several weeks as we'd not heard anything, and learned that we now needed to provide supporting documentation from new employer.

Again we were assured by the AON consultant that we shouldn't have any issues. Provided the requested documentation, and several weeks later AGAIN had to follow up at which point we were told we'd been denied. No opportunity was provided to appeal.

They then suggested we MIGHT qualify for a 75% credit of the money we'd now lost toward our next Carnival Cruise... REALLY????

Product or Service Mentioned: Aon Travel Insurance.

Reason of review: misrepresentation / poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $1300.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Aon Cons: Service is very bad, Claims process entire experience.

Hello,

I was wondering if you've had any updates for your issue? I'm kind of going through the same thing. We weren't able to leave for our cruise because during our wedding, the coordinator LOST our documents
