We were on a Princess Cruise which the cruise line is the best for us, they always treated us like Royalty our 39 princess cruise. I purchased the insurance the Ins. My husband a veteran developed severe confusion due to dementia and just wanted to go home. Princess helped us and called Aon and the refused to pay. ATT requires retirees to go through AON. I turned 65 in August and went on Medicare. Blue Cross has my plan set up since 0801 but for some reason AON has not got it set up. I have jumped through all of AON demands for 2 weeks and now open enrollment has started and my original enrollment is still not handled. AT&T is waiting for AON to notify them so they can add back the insurance on my husband and child. All I get is excuses but no help and now they refuse to set me up in open enrollment due to the previous problem. What can I do?

READ YOUR POLICIES

I believe Travel Insurance is GREAT and I can not stress this enough, it is all in the policies REQUEST AND READ YOUR POLICIES PRIOR TO PURCHASING!!!! You can call AON and get a policy emailed to you prior to purchasing even though it seems like "legal gibberish" Also the plus about certain cruise lines is if your claim falls under the CANCEL FOR ANY REASON meaning if you cancel for a non covered specified reason you could be eligible for up to 75% cruise credits (which is on the very 1st page of policy) also keep in mind that if you are canceling for a MEDICAL reason look in the policy for the definition of PRE-EXISTING CONDITION most policies state a 60 day look back from the date of purchase which means EXAMPLE: If you purchase the policy today but you don't sail til Jan 2020 the claims examiner will do a 60 day look back from today to see if you had seeked any sort of care or treatment in that 60 days and if you did even though it is a new medical condition it is still considered pre-ex in which you would be eligible for the cruise credits. That big misunderstanding can fill your mind with hate! ALSO DON"T TRUST YOUR CRUISE LINE AGENT if the guarantee that you will get 100% cash back! They do not have access to the policies and do not know what they state! One more thing to keep in mind is AON doesn't write the policies everything in the policy is the Cruise line guidelines they have the policy underwritten by an insurance policy in which AON carries that policy and handles the claims process. One last thing cerntin cruise lines do not offer the Cancel for any reason so if you cancel for medical and it is deemed PRE-EX then you are OUT your money other than if the cruise line reimburst you port fees and taxes so keep that in mind for like the Oceana Cruises.

My personal Flood policy renewal (10/19/19) was never offered. I called the company (NFS Edge) 10/23/19 and was told by representative (Kim) that I am not eligible for (EZ) NFS Edge.

I told her that I called on 3 different time asking about the renewal (45 & 30 day out and last week) she said she saw the log notes where I had called.

Kim said they email our agency ( Carl Collum ) on 10/17/19 to let know the 10/19/19 renewal was declined.

I never got the email. With over 20+ years in the Insurance Business I know there is a certain amount of time Insurance carriers are required to decline or offer the renewal and it is not 2 days.

I am sending you this email since the Flood Survey will not get past the Nationwide Firewall.

Instead of a negative review, here's a positive one! Our trip to Walt Disney World was cut short due to Hurricane Dorian. Managed to get a flight out a few days earlier than plan. Our original flight from Orlando turned out to get cancelled. Filed a claim with Aon online the day we arrived home 08/31/2019. Took a couple of weeks for the status to change from Assigned to an agent to In-progress. Received an email from Aon 4 days ago (10/08/2019) that our claim was approved and check would be cut in 2 business days. Check arrived today 10/12/2019. As long as your documentation is good, I see no issues with them issuing the refund. Good job Aon! (I understand the negative reviews, but as long as everything is in order, there should be no problems!)

I got a letter asking for my medicare turn down which I am still waiting for. Got a letter saying its been 2 months closing your case if they dont hear from me. I sent note saying I haven't heard from medicare, yet and then I have to get 2ndary insurance to say "no" then they say no. This company knows medicare will not cover out of country medical expenses. I sent my note using the same address they emailed to me and my email was kicked back to me. I cant reach them!!!!! GRRRRRR.....

or if you have your open claim go to aontravelcalim.com the website click on i have already filed a claim then type in your ref # and last name it will let you upload the documents at that point. Also your claim is never truly closed even when you receive that letter they are just waiting for that other information

I had purchased leisure care-Aon travel insurance at the recommendation of Cruise One my travel agent. After both of my adjusters sent the company letters stating that it was a catastrophic flood and my house is uninhabitable they denied my claim saying it was not a natural disaster. They were awful!

My husband and I got a LAND AND SEA cruise with Royal Caribbean, 4 nights at Bahamas and 4 nights at Universal Orlando Resort, including hotel in the resort with early admissions to parks and transportation. My husband got sick and we didn't use the Universal Orlando package and we paid extra flight fees in order to come back to California, to our home. The AON insurance person said: "IT is not a delay trip, or cancellation", so , it is not a claim, My husband is 88 years old, this one was a trip dreamed for long time. What kind of company is AON, for God's sake?

Excellent Resolution Of Medical Claim

Purchased travel insurance through Norwegian Cruise Line. Second day of cruise developed bronchial pneumonia and for next four days received extensive medical treatment. Cost for treatment was almost $9000. Upon return I contacted Aon Insurance and was informed what was necessary for filing the medical expenses. First I had to file with my primary medical carrier. Once the primary carrier determined what costs were covered I submitted their final reimbursement to Aon. Less than three weeks later Aon settled my claim to the penny. I am totally satisfied with Aon’s service. They did 100% of what was stated in their advertisement . And filing the claim was super easy.

Planned a trip for me, my sister, and my niece. 2 days prior, I developed a terrible ear infection, lost my equilibrium, and ruptured my ear drum. Canceled the cruise, went home, got in to my doctor as soon as possible. The first appointment available was Friday at 9am. we were scheduled to sail on Thursday, i canceled late Tuesday. As a grown adult, i know better than to go to an emergency room for an ear infection, and took otc meds to minimize my discomfort until my dr could see me. Immediately after my appointment, I filed a claim. It was denied within minutes. Everyone I talked to stated that there was no valid reason to deny it, but they did not have the authority to change it. Sitting in limbo waiting to see if someone actually calls me back right now. Complete scam, do not purchase from these people!!!

Trip cancellation

Taking 8 people on a cruise i decided to get a policy on my brouther-in-law glad i did he was not able to gow because off medical issues. The cruise paid paid in full in 2013 - u read right.

Sailing date was Feb 2014. I have been trying for 5yrs now to get my refund, i just left another today 9/6/2019 Every once in a while i get a hair growing. I have sent all docs over several times said they didn't get them BUll . This company changed there name from Berkely ( the original company) to Aon i wounder why maybe because they don't pay the claims.

Was on the pbone with carnival for about a jr trying to resolve tbis problem no help yet was told to contact the travel agency and sold me the policy So i called them could not het any help had to leave a message. I'm alittle slow being raised in the country sorry for that. I'm like 2k.

If these other jerks don't ome up with the monies i feel Carnival should. Any ideas my email is r.1953@***.com

Fraudulent Insurance Policies

We made reservations to Disney World Orlando and Wilderness Campgrounds on 01/24/19 starting 02/24/19. Along with our payment to Disney we paid an additional $155.00 for travel insurance. Due to medical reasons we had to cancel. My husband had had knee procedures on both knees and due to healing issues walking and standing were unbearable. On 02/14/19 we cancelled all reservations with Disney and Wilderness Campground without any issues. Their service was extraordinary. The agent at Disney advised we could file for the $200.00 cancellation fee to AON (Arch Insurance Co) which was held back for the Disney Cancellation. We proceeded to do so. We initially filed on line and received verification of receipt with a reference # 02/19/19. This subsequently led to phone calls. We obtained a list of all the information required along with a letter from our physician explaining the reason for our cancellation. There was a long period of time before we received a response for more information which we supplied. Now today, 06/25/19 we received a form requesting a signature to obtain my husband's complete medical history including immunizations, lab reports of all kinds, everything. This is totally unacceptable. It is not their business and the doctor's letter in this situation is the only requirement applicable. After reading reviews we realize this company is a farce and evidently make their money on claim denials. I am tossing this new form in the trash and they can keep the $200.00 plus our initial insurance payment. However, even though we are one set of individuals, we are going to issue grievances with BBB, Insurance Commission, and Disney. AON takes a dream vacation where the individuals are already experiencing major issues (not due to their own actions) and making it even worse. This appears to be a breach of good faith where a person goes into a contract for the coverage and the insurance company intentionally proceeds to find every possible way to deny. cc: disney world, bbb, nc insurance commission

Forget the BBB ; they can and will do nothing. Companies pay for that little gold foil sticker ; the BBB is not a consumer protection police organization - they are there to promote business. Taking a consumer's report is just a placebo - a sham ; it does nothing except sit in a file.

"Delay" and "Deny" ; the first two departments you pass through when dealing with insurance companies. Any other industry it would be called stalling and therefore unacceptable.

I don't think there's any Divine dispensation for insurance either - they do it because they can get away with it.

It is an appalling business method and unethical in too many ways. You'll send everything they demanded only to have them tell you "it didn't arrive" "we don't have it" "why did you not send it ?"
